Ikurangi Eco Retreat is located inland in Matavera which is on the eastern side of Rarotonga. All tents and rooms have the necessities including courtesy mobile phones, power points, pedestal fans, hot water, tea & coffee making facilities, bar fridge and of course a room safe for your valuables. There are no TV’s so you can spend more time admiring the trees and plants that surround you.
The Luxury Safari Tents are perched upon private timber decks, overlooking the Ikurangi site and the best of natures tropical greenery. These rooms are perfect for couples or two friends travelling together. The Ariki Safari Tents are a popular choice for couples, honeymooners or those wanting something a little extra special.
They are spacious and boast true Polynesia through the décor and some of the materials that were used to build them. They also have luxurious waffle robes, a large timber deck area with outdoor lounge furniture that one can relax on, fully screened windows and a private star gazing outdoor claw bathtub.
The Tropical Are’s have been designed with the tropics in mind, featuring cool high ceilings, and woven materials. Each room boast a private deck with a stunning view of the majestic Takitumu mountain ranges. These rooms come with a day bed and a private en-suite.
